Classroom Expectations

RULES:

  1. Listen to the teacher

  2. Follow directions

  3. Sit quietly

  4. Keep hands to self

----------------------------------------------------------------

BEHAVIOR:

Chart/Traffic Light

Daily folder will contain a monthly calendar which will be a record of your child’s behavior.  A traffic light will be used and it will represent: green (good-no warning), yellow (warning) and red (unacceptable).  Hitting and biting are not tolerated and will result in an automatic red light.

Thinking Rug

A child will sit on the thinking rug if they receive a warning or if their behavior is disruptive to the class.  The child will be asked to think about his/her behavior.

Butterfly Net

The teachers will look for opportunities to catch the children being good and their butterfly will be placed in the net.  These children will receive a special treat.  A sticker will be placed on the behavior chart when your child is “caught” being good.

Sticker Chart

Each day a child remains on green light they will receive a sticker to put on their chart.  Once they collect 5 stickers they can visit the treasure box.
